Dear Members:

We are writing to update you on the status of contract negotiations. On July 6 & 7 the Union leadership and the Administration held negotiating sessions hoping to reach a settlement. Unfortunately we were not successful.

Although we are very close to an agreement, we still have an outstanding issue that we are unable to resolve. Therefore as of this writing we do not have a new contract.

In early August we will be writing to update all of you on our situation and to outline actions we will be taking as the new semester begins. We will be holding a general membership meeting on Monday, August 22. Details will be sent to you in August.
